Local Farmers

While looking at some of Tesco's work i came across this ambient piece from http://www.theredbrickroad.co.uk/ who now handle a lot of Tesco's work. A good issue to play on in the current food climate of free range chicken among others.

follow the yellow brick road

(to start with the picture is landscape on my compute put loads portrait...annoying)

anyway follow the yellow brick road, a great ad, simple and effective, get in contact with yell for any destination you are after. Love it!

Headlights

Every car needs them for those dark dark nights but do we pay much attention otherwise, Audi have recently put LED's in there headlights as well as bulbs but the VW polo has put the logo VW on the headlight bulb, if you look at the new models you will see it, have a look, doesnt really project it anywhere though.

All Bar One

In the Leeds branch i sat down to have luch with the girls and loved there take on menus, large probably A3 menus on paper, but thats not the good part, they have a massive pile of them on the wall all like a pad and they just rip them off as needed so no worrys about what happens to the menu and plenty in stock.

BIG Chewing Gum

This is possibly the biggest piece of chewing gum i have seen and probably sticks your whole mouth together with that amount. I found it while clearing out at home, it was from Germany, 1995...so i didn't fancy trying it but thought it was funny, like sending something to Willie Wonker to get it enlarged.

Possibly the BEST wedding cake...

Well at least for some people. This is so cool, compiled from Mario Brothers, but its got everything the scenery and from different levels, the boxes with the goodies in, i love the huge mushroom and Princess and Mario passing off as the bride and groom, every computer geeks ideal cake, the thing i cant get over is the quality and colour.

The Sheep Market

This is one of the bizarrest ideas i think that i have seen, it is so funny, there is basically 10,000 sheep on the page that have been drawn by people online and there are varying standards and versions but funny all the same, and you can rewatch how the person drew it and if this is not crazy enough already then you can actually buy the sheep...for $20 hilarious stuff, to be fair there are some good ones but not for £10, think its cheaper to mac up your own. Baa Ram You...

Check it out http://www.thesheepmarket.com/

SNES Remote

This is a true geeks little experiment, this is the making of a large snes controller, it would be underestimating to say life size. You will get the gist of the size over the next few pictures... The first picture is the buttons and you can see the size with the small craft paint pots on the buttons.

This is the mother of all coffee tables, you can see its size in comparison to the surrounding objects

Inside has been used for storage, and you can see all the geeky games but not only that at the top of the lid you can see wires...

The guy has made the coffee table a fully functioning control pad to play the games with, and as you can see its huge, but from playing many console games over the years you would think for serious gaming this would be impratcial with response time, but all good fun for you and your mates to have a laugh with.

Cider Branding

Over the past year or so the cider industry is booming, with more brands coming out of those apples than we can cope with and not just apples but pears too. I came across these cans while scanning the net for material and I'm not sure if i like them or not, i like how you look at the can and you get a smile, a warm welcome to the product and then i realise even though its a "Ci" its a tacky emo-icon which when used i design i generally hate and its used but not necessarily intentionally as an emo-icon if you get my gist. After that, it is a bit clever and good use of the wording and angle, nice simple can design.

certainly not porn, or explicit, just wrong!

Ok so while on work experience scouring through their music collection and i stumbled upon this...

As you may have gathered i do not need to explain anything, it says it all on the album cover and god knows what the music sounds like, but i do not even want to think.

The new skateboarding

Check out this bad boy, in the nicest way possible you can tell its from Greece, just think sandles and white socks, you've all seen it. But what a funny concept, to be fair, sometimes i wonder how skateboarders do the tricks they do with not holding on in anyway, obviously the speed and forces etc. but interesting idea.

I wonder if the leather rubs on your feet and if this works.

Laces

A great piece of ambient media to show off Haribo's liquorice laces and get a lot of attention from what is normally a dull trip up the escalator. The laces pose as if they are a part of the escalator belt itself and are going to slowly unreal. Clever use of whats there and applying another idea to what is already existing.

Reading

This ad is actually for eye drops, but you can see they have used the books to form an eye to emphasise the issue and where the drops may come in handy, cleer way to use the books.

Foil

Hadn't really thought about this before until i was flattening the foil from one of my Easter Lindt Bunny Rabbits and obviously the foil and chocolate mould itself are mirrored so it fits around and makes it easier for production.

Recycling

This is very clever, it gets the message across tow fold, by making it interesting using the range of characters and the words they are saying and the finishing line saying they are all recycled clips, fantastic way of emphasising there point through the advert.

Pop up books are back!

This is a great little advert by persil, it gets the message across in a fun and simple way, its like going back to basics, great how elements of the pop up change as the story is told. Exciting to watch to find out how the next page spread looks like.

Dancing in the street

When i first saw this advert I did not have a clue what it was for but was intrigued, with a nice song to keep you interested and a great male dancer dressed so casually but just pulling tricks out of the bag.

The only time i realised it was for phones was when you got a subtitle about headsets, and looking at it now the guys red zip up is a signifier of voadfone's colours and a minor call to action 'make the most of now' which we all want to do in as many ways as we can. An entertaining advert that is not fighting for your attention.

Lynx

Lynx have always provided entertaining ads and are continuing to do so, i have heard mixed reactions to there latest dark temptation advert with the chocolate guy. When i watched it it just made me laugh, it's simple but still gets the point across of the girls swarming to the guy in a light hearted way.

I hope it doesnt smell like chocolate as i can see that as quite off putting, it's one thing eating but smelling like it is not good.

Serious **

When Nick Ramshaw from Elmwood was guest speaker the other week i was generally impressed with the company and how they go about there work, but i particulary liked the idea behind

Some of the other pieces in the campaign -

It is just great, it all works in unison, is cheeky and makes what is actually quite a disugusting job funny, and obviously implies s**t but never actually says it anywhere which fits perfectly with there line of work.

Out of Stock

I saw this advert while watching Harry Potter and thought it was quite amusing and a funny way to get the message across, the kids can enjoy the advert and the parents the information.

Macbook Air

Oh my god, this is pretty impressive, no doubt the first batch will be riddled with problems like the mini ipod but it looks like the new ipod nano same shape and structure. As always it is beautifully crafted and you know its apple from the instance you see it, they still manage to amaze and astound. The advert is pretty cool too if you go on the site, short and sweet.
