the voice that whispers to be heard

While at work today i was looking around the rooms, its an old house, half decorated, which means alot of peoples message on walls. Three main bits stuck out to me

this message is all around the house, the juxtaposition creates more effect for the saying, some friends i know have been having a quote competition, some of the examples are

"you once beat a wall at a game of tennis. a wall!"

"you can finish the song that never ends."

"you can scream in sign language."

just reading them is great, the things thah they have come up with.

this pic made me laugh, at first it looks like a a smiley face and then you take a second look and it looks sad becuase its effectively dripping.

again another juxtaposition, its interesting how it changes what its saying by having the contrast.

Robinson's

This ad is pretty new, but its cute. I like how it all stems from one thing and new bits grow out of the current ones, from undergound to above ground. WIth the little kiddy "la" music and cartoon based design its simple and light hearted so kids can understand and enjoy it.

Honda Genius's

Honda...need i say much more. There adverts use great initiative showing how versatile you can be and that you dont just have to have a car driving around for 30secs, there is more to it. This advert is great, it makes the advert more fun, if it was just the car i would be bored, its a Honda not an aston martin. By using the choir for the noises it adds something etc for the viewer but also impressive people can make the noises.

This is the first Honda advert that impressed me, just clever to break the car down and use it in a visually enticing way, it attracts the viewer to find out whats happening next.

this is another classic, pretty catchy "hate something, change something", light hearted but still making the point of new quiet diesel engines.

Crossfire

When looking through the paper i always like to look at the sketches, most of them give a great representation of parliment and royals, but this one stood out. The image is simple, very effective and emotional, probably more so to those with people out there.

It shows the fate that potentially awaits people of the services, they put there lifes on the line to fend for the country and for what? The image for me summarises IRAQ, what have we got from it?

On the design side its a good way of showing a point, how two different objects of similar shape can represent something so different.
