Robinson's

This ad is pretty new, but its cute. I like how it all stems from one thing and new bits grow out of the current ones, from undergound to above ground. WIth the little kiddy "la" music and cartoon based design its simple and light hearted so kids can understand and enjoy it.

At first I thought this was just a cute advert, but I can't help thinking that Robinsons have been very clever in the way it is put together.

The raise them on Robinsons line and the connotations of this coming directly from the ground show the fact that this is aimed at parents buying this for their children, but as you said the music and cartoon style make it so it would appeal to kids as well.

It is almost as if they wanted to target this in one way but given all the media coverage and new restrictions on advertising to children they decided to aim it at the parents. They have done this but also ensured that the style still made it a kids brand and therefore open to the "pester power" that has caused problems in the past.

I agree, it seems to hit a good target market. I like the illustrations, and as Claire pointed out the clear concept of growth. Surprisingly it doesn't appear too girly as you would imagen, but instead hits a younger child audience.
